What a credit buys
Engines cost different amounts to run, so they are priced differently. Every plan gets the same engines and regions; concurrency increases with the plan.
$1 = 2,000 credits on every plan — the plans differ in size, not in unit price. A task is charged only when it completes; a failed task is refunded automatically.
Questions
What happens when I run out of credits?
Calls start failing with an insufficient-credit error rather than being silently queued — you are never billed past your plan. Move up a plan in the billing portal and the new balance applies immediately.
Do unused credits roll over?
No. Each billing period starts at your plan's full amount. That is why the plans are sized rather than metered — you are paying for a ceiling, not for storage.
Can I change plans mid-month?
Yes, from the billing portal. Stripe prorates the difference and the invoice that results resets your balance to the new plan's amount.
Am I charged for failed tasks?
No. Credits are held when a task is accepted and released if it does not complete, so an engine outage costs you nothing.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes. Every new account receives 2,000 credits ($1) automatically, with no card required. That is enough for roughly 666–2,000 tasks depending on the engine.
