Get conversational answers from Google AI Mode

Ask Google AI Mode a question from the market you choose and receive its conversational answer with the pages it cites.

What you get

• text: the full AI Mode answer, usually longer and more detailed than an AI Overview.
• sources: the pages the answer cites, with URL and title.
• A task type of its own, AIMODE, so AI Mode and AI Overviews are measured as separate surfaces.

How it works

AI Mode is Google’s conversational search: a question gets a full written answer with links to the pages behind it. Each task asks your query in AI Mode from the country you set and returns the answer and its sources as people in that market see them.

AI Mode answers comparison and recommendation questions in depth and names the brands it recommends. Track it next to AI Overviews to see how the same query plays out on both surfaces.

Request fields

The engine to run, such as CHATGPT or GOOGLE.

The search query, written the way a user types it into the search box.

payload.countrystring

Two-letter country code of the market to ask from, such as US, KR or JP. Default US.

webhook.urlstring

An HTTPS address on your server. The finished task is posted there the moment it completes.

idempotencyKeystring

Your own ID for the request. Each key creates one task per account, so a retried send stays a single task.

QUEUED, PROCESSING, then COMPLETED with the answer or FAILED with error.

credits.creditsChargedinteger

Credits charged for the finished task. A failed task charges 0.

The answer as plain text.

The answer with its headings, lists and tables, in every result.

The pages the answer cites, in the engine’s order, each with position, url and label.

Receive the result

The request returns the task right away with status QUEUED. Poll GET /v1/async/task/{id} until status is COMPLETED or FAILED, or add webhook.url and the finished task arrives at your server with the same task, credits and response. Results stay available for 24 hours after a task finishes.
